More Babies
Dr. Chris Isichei, Founder and Coordinator of Faith Alive, tells us that about five women a week birth babies there. I often stop by the birthing center to see if I can witness a child’s entry into daylight, but to no avail. It seems that most babies choose to arrive at nighttime. This week I met a precious seven-hour-old girl and her mommy who shared with me the baby’s name. My lips are sealed, though. In Nigerian culture, the name isn’t actually given until the official naming ceremony. Here’s to a long and prosperous life for the family.
